I've had this twin sized headboard for quite awhile. I saw a Pinterest post where someone bought hooks & added them to a headboard. I painted the headboard in a nice, mustardy yellow, bought oil rubbed bronze hooks, & the rest is history. I really love the look of this & think it would be perfect to hold purses, backpacks, & coats!
